Adrian Lester To Direct Episodes Of Riviera

Along with co-starring in Sky Atlantic’s upcoming drama Riviera, Adrian Lester will direct two episodes of the sun-soaked thriller. Currently filming in the south of France, Riviera is created by Neil Jordan with a cast led by Julia Stiles and Lena Olin.

Lester has already directed for the BBC series Hustle, in which he also starred. He also recently toplined the BBC mini Undercover, opposite Sophie Okonedo, which kicks off Stateside tomorrow on BBC America.

Riviera is based on an idea by Paul McGuinness and boasts a cast of morally ambiguous characters, complex relationships and audacious excess. Stiles plays Georgina, a Midwestern girl turned smart, resourceful wife of the billionaire Constantine Clios. After just a year of marriage, her immaculate new life is blown apart when her husband is killed in an explosion aboard the yacht of a Russian oligarch and arms dealer. Believing there to be more to the tragedy, she sets out to uncover what happened.

Iwan Rheon (Game Of Thrones), Dimitri Leonidas (The Monuments Men), Roxanne Duran (White Ribbon), Phil Davis (Vera Drake), Amr Waked (Lucy), and Igal Naor (The Honourable Woman) also star.

The show is due for air on Sky Atlantic in the UK next year and will also be available across Ireland, Italy, Germany and Austria.

‘Bourne 5’ Set In Greece ; Tommy Lee Jones And Julia Stiles In The Cast?

Actor Matt Damon has revealed that the upcoming movie “Bourne 5” may be set in Greece and cast members to join the film, including Julia Stiles and Tommy Lee Jones. Damon is all set to return with the “Bourne 5” movie. Based on the life of protagonist Jason Bourne, this series is a very popular action franchise, loved across the world.

Academy award winner Paul Greengrass will be directing the 5th installment in the franchise. He oversaw the production of “The Bourne Ultimatum” and “The Bourne Supremacy,” according to iDigital Times. However, the title of this movie is to be decided. The lead actor Damon discussed about the plot of the movie in his recent interview with BuzzFeed News. He revealed that the movie will be based in Europe and will showcase the post Snowden world. He further said that many changes will also be seen in the upcoming movie. The audiences can expect a lot about the civil liberties and spying. Damon said that the filming location of the movie is zeroed down to Greece for the moment, but it may change in the future. He also joked that the movie will end in Las Vegas.

The exact details and the plot of the movie are still under wraps. However, it is known for sure that Damon’s character will not do a cross over with Jeremy Renner’s Aaron Cross, who was seen in “The Bourne Supremacy.” Alicia Vikander will play the female lead in the new movie. In addition, Julia Stiles may be reprising her role of Nicky Parsons as the ex-CIA agent. A new high ranking officer will also be introduced in this movie and Tommy Lee Jones is expected to play this part.

“Bourne 5” release is scheduled on July 29, 2016.

Julia Stiles joins The Great Gilly Hopkins

Julia Stiles has joined the cast of The Great Gilly Hopkins, an adaptation of Bridge To Terabithia author Katherine Paterson’s novel of the same name. The Book Thief‘s Sophia Nelisse is playing young protagonist Gilly, who dreams of being reunited one day with her mysterious and exotic mother. Stiles will play Gilly’s mother.

Also newly added to the cast is Bill Cobbs (The Bodyguard, Rake) as Gilly’s blind, kindly neighbor Mr. Randolph. Cobbs stepped into the role replacing previously cast Danny Glover, who dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. Rounding out the cast is Billy Magnussen (Into The Woods, The East) as the youngster’s overworked and underpaid social worker. Kathy Bates, Octavia Spencer, and Glenn Close also co-star.

Script is adapted by Paterson’s son David Paterson, who also co-adapted his mother’s Terabithia tome into the 2007  film. Picturehouse will distribute The Great Gilly Hopkins, which is now filming in and around New York City. Stiles is repped by ICM Partners, Untitled Entertainment and Sloane Offer Weber and Dern.
